I absolutely loved my stay at this little paradise! The location was fantastic, right on the beach, and I could even hear the ocean from my dorm room, which was amazing. The owner, Martha, was the sweetest lady and made me feel right at home. She was super helpful and knowledgeable about the island, and the small size of the place gave it a cozy and family-like atmosphere. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook, and the WiFi was really good too. The hostel was also conveniently located, just a short walk into town and in a safe area.
The only downside I could find was that smoking wasn't allowed, but I understood that it's a common rule in Bocas del Toro. Other than that, I had no complaints.

I recently stayed at Hostal On The Sea in Bocas for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the start of the nightlife but far enough away to escape the noise. The mini supermarket nearby made it convenient for getting supplies. Our room had a shared bathroom, but since the other room was empty, it felt like a private bathroom. The cool shower was refreshing and a nice change from hot water. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outside deck with a hammock and swimming dock was a great place to relax. The owner, Martha, was lovely and told us some wonderful stories.

I had a fantastic time at this charming hotel. My stay at Hostal On The Sea was for 5 nights and it exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect - close enough to the nightlife, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The mini supermarket nearby was convenient and the airport was within walking distance. I loved that our bathroom was essentially private since it was shared with an unoccupied room. The refreshing shower and access to the well-equipped kitchen were a bonus. The large deck with a hammock and swimming dock added to the overall experience. And of course, the host, Bertá, was delightful and made our stay even more enjoyable with her stories and hospitality.
Would recommend this hotel.

The kitchen is well-equipped and clean, making it easy to prepare your own meals. The friendly and helpful owner, Marta, adds to the welcoming vibe of the place.
Limited space in the dorm rooms can make it difficult to move around when they are full.
